The thing is, now every other school in the BDD and anyone else visiting Honaker needs another pair of shoes.

I dunno about helping the injury problem...We traveled to several schools that had turf in TN, and we always got lots of ankle and knee injuries where no-one was used to playing on the turf...So I would say you will see alot of kids getting hurt from schools w/ natural grass fields...

I have worked some college scrimmages on the Field turf and that stuff is nice and you do not necessarily have to have special shoes. You can still wear rubber cleats on it an be fine. It is as soft as most of the fields in this area are.

I agree 100%. There's nothing like a muddy football game, that's for sure.

That is what I was thinking as well BUT is it BETTER to have turf shoes (Could turn into a BIG home field advantage)
I'm pretty sure most teams/players wear regular cleats on field turf.
Cheering for Twin Springs is like cheering for the Taliban
On the field turf it is better to wear the rubber cleats. At Tusculum that is all they wore and at Carson Newman that is what they wore. In fact the turf shoe can almost be slippery on the Field Turf.

From what i have read after the turf "aged" for 2 or 3 years turf shoes are preferable but cleats can still be used
